How it Works
A district energy system is a highly efficient design to connect many buildings with differing energy profiles to a central energy source.
Providing heating and cooling from a central plant usually requires less fuel and displaces the need to install separate space heating and cooling and hot water systems in each building. The district energy system does the work, providing valuable benefits.
Celebrating 20 Years of Deep Lake Water Cooling
Two decades ago, we embarked on a groundbreaking journey in partnership with the City of Toronto to harness the natural cooling power of Lake Ontario. In 2024, we proudly celebrated the 20th anniversary of our one-of-a-kind, Deep Lake Water Cooling system, alongside its expansion of a fourth intake pipe in Lake Ontario, both being a testament to our commitment to sustainability and innovation.
As highlighted in our 20th anniversary commemorative video, Deep Lake Water Cooling provided remarkable benefits to the City of Toronto and our community. Powered by possibility, we saw what could be... and make it what is.
