As the third-tallest building in Chicago, Aon Center offers commanding views and an in-demand Loop location near Millennium Park. Its 2.7 million sq ft of space is filled with major corporations such as Kraft Heinz, Microsoft, Peoples Gas, Xerox, JLL and Aon Corp. itself.
Aon Center has been an Enwave Chicago chilled-water customer for nearly 20 years, recently renewing its agreement for another 20 years of chilled-water service.
“We’ve had a good energy partnership with Aon Center’s owners and managers over the years, and we’re pleased that’s going to continue,” says Carlyle Coutinho, president and chief operating officer of Enwave Chicago. “JLL does a great job of running the building, and we’re glad to help by providing reliable chilled-water service from our district cooling system.” Aon Center holds a LEED Silver certification.
Located at 200 E. Randolph, the building opened in 1972 and was the tallest building in Chicago until surpassed by the Sears Tower – now Willis Tower – in 1973. Known as the Standard Oil Building and the Amoco Building before it became Aon Center in 1999, the building is clad in Mt. Airy granite.
Aon Center’s top floors can be lit at night with colors to reflect seasons, holidays or even support of important causes: It lights up in pink for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Thank you, Aon Center, for the important role you play in our community – and for allowing us to be of service.
