Enwave’s clean and reliable energy helps customers reduce costs and achieve resiliency – even during a hurricane.
Delivering valuable and cool comfort
In Texas’ largest city, our industry-leading "ice battery,” allows customers to easily shift peak usage to lower-cost times – especially during heat waves, when air conditioning demand surges. Beyond lowering cooling bills and reducing carbon emissions, the Enwave system also provides customers with a reliable, resilient energy solution, even maintaining full operation throughout Hurricane Harvey.
Knocking it out of the park
On hot Houston nights, Enwave’s cooling system keeps fans and players comfortable and having a ball at Minute Maid Park, home of the Major League Baseball team, the Houston Astros. Also the host to headliner concerts and sporting events, the 41,000-seat stadium is connected to the district energy system’s Union Station Plant, which has delivered 100% reliability since launch.
The future of business
Billed as “the future of sustainable design," Skanska’s Capitol Tower is a LEED v4 Platinum-certified commercial development in downtown Houston. Served by Enwave’s district energy system, the 35-story tower offers a host of state-of-the-art amenities, including an innovative green roof that wouldn’t have been possible with the bulky towers required by a conventional cooling system. With district energy, the building saves on more than energy costs, freeing premium real estate as well.
District energy combined with ice battery storage allows customers to focus on managing their businesses while the experts manage comfort and control costs.
