Who We Are
Enwave Energy Corporation is the largest district energy company in Canada and one of the largest in North America. We provide low cost, environmentally-friendly heating and cooling to more than 140 commercial, institutional and multi residential buildings in the cities of Toronto and Windsor, Ontario.
Rather than heating and cooling buildings with in-house boilers and chillers, district energy customers get their heating and air conditioning via underground pipe distribution networks that are connected to one or several large plants. Through economies of scale and 24 hour monitoring and supervision, these facilities can generate heating, cooling and electricity in a manner which is more efficient and, therefore, more environmentally friendly than in-house systems.
Enwave's system-operating-efficiencies and unparalleled reliability are recognized by users and peer groups alike – including the International District Energy Association which has awarded Enwave the "System of the Year" prize.

Anchored by 4 large energy plants and over 20 km of distribution piping, Enwave sells over 2.5 billion lbs. of steam each year and is one of North America's largest district energy systems. Enwave has been awarded the "System of the Year" by the International District Energy Association.
Deep Lake Water Cooling System
Enwave's Deep Lake Water Cooling system uses the coldness of Lake Ontario to cool buildings in downtown Toronto. Some customers include the Toronto Dominion Centre, Royal Bank Plaza, Metro Toronto Convention Centre and the Air Canada Centre. The system has enough capacity to air condition over 3.2 million square meters of building space or approximately 100 large office towers.
