February 5, 2007: Enwave Announces RBC Centre will be Connected to Clean, Reliable, Low-Cost Cooling Alternative
Toronto, ON - Enwave Energy Corporation is pleased to announce its newest cooling agreement with Cadillac Fairview for RBC Centre.
"Cadillac Fairview is extremely excited about having recently signed our chilled Water Services Agreement with Enwave for RBC Centre.", said John Sullivan, Executive Vice President, Development. "The partnership with Enwave goes hand-in-hand with Cadillac Fairview's commitment to the environment and using green technology in this state-of-the-art building."
"We are pleased to work with Cadillac Fairview once again to provide RBC Centre's tenants with a reliable, low-cost alternative to conventional cooling. Cadillac continues to demonstrate their commitment to improve the environment by adding RBC Centre to Enwave's district cooling system", said Dennis Fotinos, President and CEO of Enwave.
Enwave's Deep Lake Water Cooling system draws cold water from Lake Ontario at 4° C to naturally cool buildings. Through a closed loop system at the Enwave Energy Transfer Station, heat exchanges between the City's water supply and Enwave's water grid that cools buildings. Enwave uses only the coldness from the lake water not the actual water to provide the alternative to conventional air conditioning.
