May 25, 2007: Enwave Announces Maple Leaf Square will Connect to Deep Lake Water Cooling

Toronto, ON - Enwave Energy Corporation is pleased to announce that an agreement has been signed to provide Deep Lake Water Cooling to Maple Leaf Square.

Maple Leaf Square, a joint project between Lanterra Developments, Cadillac Fairview and Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, is currently under construction at York Street and Bremner Boulevard, adjacent to the Air Canada Centre. The new complex will include 110,000 square feet of Retail space including both a fine dining and high-tech sports-themed restaurant, a high-definition broadcast studio, a Leafs, Raptors & Marlies Retail Store and a Longo's. As well, the new complex will include 235,000 square feet of office space, a sports and entertainment themed boutique hotel, and two condominium towers.

"Enwave's Deep Lake Water Cooling system was the right decision for Maple Leaf Square. The sustainable design and integrity of this complex will be complimented by Enwave's environmentally responsible and renewable energy source," says Mark Mandelbaum, Lanterra Developments. "Both Cadillac Fairview and MLSE are strong supporters of Enwave's Deep Lake Water Cooling system with the TD Centre, RBC Centre and the Air Canada Centre as existing customers. It was only natural that Maple Leaf Square would follow suit."

Enwave's three intake pipes draw water from 83 metres below the surface of Lake Ontario. Naturally cold water makes its way to the City of Toronto's John Street Pumping Station. There, heat exchangers facilitate the energy transfer between icy-cold lake water and the Enwave closed chilled water supply loop. This cold energy cools Toronto's leading office buildings. Enwave uses only the coldness from the lake water not the actual water to provide the alternative to conventional air-conditioning.

"Enwave is pleased to join forces with Lanterra Developments, Cadillac Fairview and MLSE to provide another future Toronto landmark with Enwave's Deep Lake Water Cooling. It is a great pleasure to partner with such strong industry leaders to demonstrate that district energy is the first choice in the real estate marketplace." Dennis Fotinos, President & CEO, Enwave Energy Corporation.

Scheduled to open in 2009, Maple Leaf Square will have direct access to Union Station and will compliment events hosted by the Air Canada Centre.
